Oh, the joys of being a child!

Oh, the joys of being a child!! This is all I could think of today while Skylar was at tumbling class. The littlest things make her happy and determined. It was fun to watch her today as she was tumbling. She got her back handspring down (finally) and now she is working on doing two in a row. Her coach said that when she working on her roundoff backhandspring, Skylar's words were "can I do my roundoff plus 2?" Her coach liked hearing this from her. She said that she is determined to keep going and that is the first step in being successful at cheerleading. When she walked out of tumbling class, she had a smile on her face from ear to ear.

Who would have thought that the one thing that makes my daughter excited and really happy would be cheerleading. I can not and WILL not deny her this as long as she wants to do it. True happiness? I think an aspect of that is the way my heart, as a mother, feels when she is happy and excited and loving what she is doing. I am EXTREMELY proud of her and how hard she works and how well her team has been doing. In the words of my lovely cheerleader: "TWIST AND TURNS, A STEP ABOVE THE REST ~ RED, BLUE AND WHITE - COMETS THE BEST - YEAH!!"
